Description
A rich, sweet, and cold iced white chocolate mocha that takes only five minutes to make at home, costing significantly less than cafe versions while offering customizable sweetness and cafe-quality flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 shots espresso (2 ounces / 60ml)
- 2 tablespoons white chocolate sauce (30ml)
- 1 cup milk (240ml)
- 1 cup ice cubes (150g)
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream (30ml)
- Whipped cream topping (store-bought or homemade)
- White chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Brew two shots of espresso or mix 2 teaspoons of instant coffee with 2 ounces of hot water. Pour the hot espresso into a mug.
- Immediately add the white chocolate sauce and a pinch of salt to the hot espresso. Stir vigorously until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
- Heat the milk in the microwave for 45-60 seconds until hot but not boiling. Froth the milk if desired for a creamier texture.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes. Pour the hot espresso and white chocolate mixture over the ice.
- Pour the hot milk over the top to create layers.
- Top with a generous mound of whipped cream and sprinkle with white chocolate shavings if using.
Notes
Ensure the espresso is hot enough to melt the white chocolate sauce completely. For a lighter version, use skim milk and skip the whipped cream. For a dairy-free version, use oat milk and dairy-free white chocolate syrup. The espresso and syrup mixture can be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours, but the drink is best made fresh.
