Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 tablespoons chia seeds per cup
- 3/4 cup milk of choice (dairy, almond, oat, or soy)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 splash vanilla extract
- Fresh or frozen berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
- Optional toppings: granola, nut butter, cinnamon
Instructions
- In each container, add 3-4 tablespoons of chia seeds, 3/4 cup milk, 1-2 teaspoons sweetener, and a splash of vanilla.
- Whisk the mixture vigorously to ensure chia seeds are dispersed evenly and do not clump.
- Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes, then whisk again to break up any clumps that formed.
- Cover the containers and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight.
- In the morning, give the pudding a final stir. Add a splash of milk if too thick.
- Top with fresh berries, a drizzle of honey, and granola if desired.
- Serve cold straight from the jar.
Notes
Whisking twice is crucial for a smooth texture. Use high-quality fresh chia seeds. Add crunchy toppings like granola just before eating to prevent sogginess. Do not freeze as the texture becomes grainy. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
